Custom Maps
In addition to maintaining TileMill and hosting some public tiles, we do a lot of custom mapping work for international development operations. This includes designing custom maps, baking map tiles, preparing custom data overlays, and strategizing on how best to incorporate maps into projects.
How we work
Employing a needs assessment and audience analysis process, our team works with organizations to evaluate needs and opportunities to design custom maps that will create high impact visualizations and tell the stories organizations want to communicate. Then, using available data and our MapBox toolset, we can create custom map tilesets that are compatible with Google Maps or Open Layers and other web mapping interfaces.
