This is a map of Afghanistan's terrain generated using data from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission. It features provincial & district borders from AIMS, and Open Street Map roads & highways.
The goal of this tile set is to provide an attractive, traditional terrain map of Afghanistan. Its original purpose was to complement an overlay of elections data, and provide insight to the relationship between the topography and infrastructure of the country.
