Afghanistan Winter
Visualizes the winter snowline of Afghanistan using Shuttle Radar data
This map uses elevation data from the Shuttle Radar Topography mission to visualize Afghanistan's 1800 meter winter snowline. It features provincial & district data from AIMS and roads from Open Street Map.
The original goal in creating a winter map of Afghanistan was to help show where the weather might cause problems in a winter election.
