On-demand logistics for moving people and products has become a key focus for many businesses, including Flybuy by Radius Networks. By building with multiple, integrated Mapbox products, Flybuy has optimized operations and greatly enhanced the customer experience of order pickup for their grocery, restaurant, and retail clients.

"Mapbox has been instrumental in our operations. The Directions API provides us with accurate ETAs, which are crucial for optimizing our order pickup process. Thanks to the traffic awareness feature, we've significantly improved our estimate accuracy. We also use Mapbox GL JS and staff dashboards to give our team real-time visibility into customer locations. When a customer shares their pickup details and clicks 'I'm on my way,' their ETA and tracking appear on our dashboard. This allows staff to monitor when and where customers plan to pick up their orders. With predefined pickup zones and boundaries, we know exactly when customers are nearby, and once the pickup is successful, departure tracking helps us automatically close the order. In one of the BUILD sessions hosted in Japanese this year, special guest developer Akihiko Kusanagi shared his innovative applications for building custom real-time location maps. As the creator of Mini TOKYO 3D, Hakone Ekiden, EQ Locator, and Hanabi Real Time Map, Kusanagi shared his insights on leveraging live data to create dynamic and engaging content.
