Mapbox is working with Qualcomm Technologies to help support the core mapping and visualization features of the Qualcomm Aware Platform. The highly customizable API-first architecture of the Qualcomm Aware Platform is designed with developers in mind, enabling interoperability with partner clouds and leading enterprise software tools including Mapbox APIs and data products.

Real-time location awareness

In the Qualcomm Aware Platform, Mapbox location services can be combined with Qualcomm Technologies’ hardware and software, including Qualcomm Technologies’ positioning techniques and algorithms which are backed by optimized GNSS, cellular and Wi-Fi based location services, and a robust global signal database consisting of billions of wireless access points and hundreds of millions of cells. Altogether, the Qualcomm Aware ecosystem powers robust connectivity and precise monitoring, even when devices are offline, indoors, or underground. The result is real-time, accurate location tracking visualized in an easy-to-use and customizable interface.

Qualcomm Aware is expected to be available later this year.
