Over six days, the world’s leading experts and practitioners in disaster and climate risk management and reduction will gather to share and explore best practices and innovation in the field.

The Understanding Risk Global Forum (UR) emerged in 2010 to acknowledge the cross-sector nature of disaster risk assessment. Over time, it has evolved into a thriving global network of over 20,000 experts and practitioners from over 200 countries and 4,600+ organizations dedicated to generating, communicating, and utilizing disaster risk information.

On June 19, our team is hosting a session “Evacuate Immediately! Max height of 19m tsunami in 3 min! A small coastal town's challenge" from 12:30-1:30 PM in room 407. In this session, you’ll learn about how a town has conducted a disaster evacuation drill that keeps costs low while employing the latest technologies, including digital maps and virtual reality.

You’ll also learn about:

• Reviewing the digital evacuation drill
• Changes in disaster awareness among participating residents
• The technology required for digital evacuation drills
• Possible application to natural disasters other than tsunamis

6 月 19 日、「すぐに避難してください！3分後に津波が到達！最大19mの恐れがあります！」そのときあなたはどこに避難する? わが町はどうなる？ある小さな海沿いの町の津波に対する挑戦」を 407 号室で午後 12 時 30 分から 1 時 30 分まで開催します。このセッションでは、町がどのようにデジタル避難訓練を実施したかについて学びます。デジタル地図やバーチャル・リアリティなど最新技術を活用した避難訓練を是非一緒に学ぶ機会にしてください。
